项目自述 / Artist Statement:

《日光亭》是一个发生在群展《登录舒适区?》中的在地性项目。我试图探询地理信息如何作用于连接现实社会和艺术世界的个体经验。我了解到在中国大陆获得数字地图供应商资质的条件之一是必须同意使用一种经过原国家测绘和地理信息总局(现隶属于自然资源部)加密的 GCJ-02 坐标系。因此,境外与境内开发的地图程序对于同一个国内的物理地点的搜索结果会存在经纬坐标不一致的状况。这一长期存在于数字地图行业中的错配现实也带来了许多创造力,例如解密算法,纠偏和坐标转换的实现。

这种多重标准的坐标信息的共存生态也启发了我将另一处可能的”日光亭“与机构白盒子空间内的“日光亭”相互重叠和渗透的想法。我以泰康空间日光亭的坐标为例,找到了因坐标偏移而在谷歌地图上(WGS-84坐标系)上所对应的长建驾校所在的一处内部道路。

我的回应是在该坐标点依据展览空间的范围和高程进行实景拍摄,从中挑选出6个视点的图像,以泰康空间所在建筑物的开窗尺寸为依据,裁剪这6张图像并打印在墙纸上。最后按照拍摄景物的方位,贴附并展示在泰康展厅的四壁上。在开幕当日,我安排了一次简短的拜访活动,即与群展中的艺术家们和策展人一同拜访了室外的日光亭,并在该地点合影纪念此次展览的一场平行开幕。

Light Pavilion is an embedded site-specific project in the group exhibition The Comfort Zone At A Distance. In this project, I try to understand how geographic information can be applied on individuals to connect their experience with the world of social realities and the world of art.

I learn that one of the conditions for obtaining a digital map supplier qualification in mainland China is that it must agree to use a GCJ-02 coordinate system that has been encrypted by the formal Chinese State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping(now part of the Ministry of Natural Resources). Therefore, when we search the same venue on both a foreign mapping app and a domestic one, we would get different coordinates. This long exisiting misplacement in the digital mapping industry brings out many innovations on decryption algorithm, implementation of rectification and coordinate conversion. However, the co-existance of multiple standards of coordinate systems inspires me to overlap and infiltrate another possible "Light Pavilion" with the existing "Light Pavilion" in the institutional white box space.

I take Light Pavilion located in Taking Space as well as its displaced coordinates as an example, and finds its corresponding location on Google Maps (WGS-84 coordinate system) and turns out to be an internal street of Changjian Driving School.

My response is to shoot the street on location provided by the coordinates according to the bearings and elevation of the Light Pavilion space, and select images from 6 viewpoints. Based on the window size of the building where Taikang space is located, the 6 images are cropped and printed on wallpapers. Finally, according to the orientation of the scene, I attach and display these wallpapers onto the four walls inside the exhibition space.

On the opening day, I arranged a short visit to the outdoor Light Pavilion with the artists and the curator of the group exhibition, and took photos at the place as a parallel opening.
